Outside General Conference is a multi-year photography project documenting the semiannual General Conference of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This event occurs twice a year in downtown Salt Lake City, Utah, near the church's headquarters.
Over the course of two days, more than 100,000 church members gather within a five-block area. While some attendees have tickets to enter the conference, many come to listen to the live broadcast from outside. On the public streets surrounding the church's center, various groups of evangelical street preachers demonstrate in designated free speech zones.
